This is the free public lab: everything made here -- your prompts, the model and its code -- is public the moment it is made, in the archive for anyone to read and reuse. Nothing is sold here; a private lab of your own, where you can sell what you make, is a rung up the ladder.

doneI've built the adapter. It's one hollow solid, 45 × 45 × 85 mm, standing on its axis so it's ready to slice for printing. **How it's built** - **Small end (bottom, 30 mm long):** 32 mm outside diameter, so it pushes into the 32 mm hose port. The bore is 27 mm. - **Taper (25 mm long):** a cone that widens from the small end to the large end. The wall stays 2.5 mm thick, measured straight out from the axis, at both ends of the taper. - **Large end (top, 30 mm long):** 40 mm inside diameter, so it slips over the 40 mm tool port. The outside is 45 mm. - It's open all the way through, with no lips or steps inside. The measured volume (about 24,000 mm³) matches my hand calculation for these sizes. **Settings you can change** (Inputs panel, all with sliders): - `small-od`: outside diameter of the end that goes into the hose port - `large-id`: inside diameter of the end that goes over the tool port - `wall`: wall thickness - `end-length`: length of each straight end - `taper-length`: length of the cone between the ends - `clearance`: makes the small end a little narrower, for when a print comes out too tight to fit. It starts at 0. **Limits** - **Taper length:** you didn't give one, so I used 25 mm. Make it longer for a gentler slope if you print without supports. The current cone leans about 13° from vertical, which prints fine standing up. - **Fit:** the diameters are exactly the sizes you gave. Printers often make outsides slightly large and holes slightly small. If the fit is tight, raise `clearance` by 0.2–0.4 mm, or `large-id` by the same amount. - **Thin wall in the taper:** keep `large-id` bigger than `small-od` minus twice the wall. Otherwise the cone won't widen as it goes up and the wall there gets thin.

Welcome to Sluice.

Sluice is for inspecting Gendl models while you're developing them. You can see your model structure in the tree at the upper left.

The display list of this viewport is empty. Click a node in the tree to apply the ADD-LEAVES operation.

The rendering mode is Wireframe (this viewport's View menu). Wireframe is a pannable, zoomable SVG; the shaded modes are navigable X3D scenes, in either of two X3D browsers. The X_ITE scene offers a headset button where WebXR is available.
