This is the free public lab: everything made here -- your prompts, the model and its code -- is public the moment it is made, in the archive for anyone to read and reuse. Nothing is sold here; a private lab of your own, where you can sell what you make, is a rung up the ladder.

doneI've built the steel plate weight calculator, and it works with the default sizes. **How to use it:** the page has three number fields: length, width and thickness in millimetres, starting at 300, 200 and 10. When you change a value, the 3D drawing of the plate updates straight away. There's no submit button. The view has its own Shaded / Wireframe / Hidden line switch and a View menu. **The weight:** it's worked out from steel's density of 7.85 g/cm³. For the default 300 × 200 × 10 mm plate that comes to 4.71 kg. **The tollbooth:** it sits in the "Weight" box. It's a pay button for "A pass" at $2.00, and the pass lasts for this visit. Until someone pays, the box shows a line saying the weight result is behind the pass. Once paid, the button turns into a paid line and the weight in kg appears, along with the plate's sizes. While you test it here the button is a preview and charges nothing. Because the app has a priced toll, the Monetize button now opens so you can deploy it. Click 'Open the app' to try it.

promptA web app: a steel plate weight calculator. Inputs: length, width and thickness in mm (defaults 300, 200, 10). It shows the plate weight in kg (steel density 7.85 g/cm3) and draws the plate. Charge for it with one tollbooth: a $2.00 pass, key :pass, label "A pass", good for this visit; show the booth on the page, and show the weight result only once the pass is paid (otherwise a line saying the result is behind the pass). Keep the page small.
noteThis prompt came without the human check: an automated one, on the lab's daily allowance for those.
noteThis session now builds a web app.

Welcome to Sluice.

Sluice is for inspecting Gendl models while you're developing them. You can see your model structure in the tree at the upper left.

The display list of this viewport is empty. Click a node in the tree to apply the ADD-LEAVES operation.

The rendering mode is Wireframe (this viewport's View menu). Wireframe is a pannable, zoomable SVG; the shaded modes are navigable X3D scenes, in either of two X3D browsers. The X_ITE scene offers a headset button where WebXR is available.
